One of the first websites we’ve built for a small business was for a real estate appraiser at Grand Lake in Northeastern Oklahoma. And, actually, that’s me!
I’ve been an appraiser for over 12 years now, but the industry has changed. I flat out don’t like it anymore.
To be fair, being an appraiser has provided very well for my family. We’ve been able to live comfortably off the steady business from banks, mortgage brokers and individuals need appraisals for tax or listing or estate purposes.
But, it’s time for me to move on. It has become, even though the majority of appraiser’s are small business people and individual entrepreneurs, a business completely and 100% controlled by super duper mega banks and government regulation.
If that’s your cup of tea, so be it.
Anyway, over the past few years I’ve learned how to develop small business websites that help local businesses. In fact, the Grand Lake appraiser website has brought me over $5,000 in additional business over the past 6 months.
That is business that has come directly from having a targeted website that ranks in the search engines.
So, any of you real estate appraisers out there…do you have your own targeted website? Or are you using one of those Ala Mode or other services that is suppose to get you more customers. You better be in control of your destiny with your own website!
